Why does the United States have 3 branches of government? What do they do? Why do we need them? Well I'm glad you asked! Today's WebQuest will give you the opportunity to explore the internet and answer those questions with the members of your group!
TASK
Your task is to learn how the government works. You will be working in small groups of three to explore and research the three branches of the U.S Government. You will need to take detailed notes to gather information for your poster board that your group will present to the class. Use the internet sites provided to find out who makes the laws, carries out the laws, and decides if laws have been broken for our national government. Before you present to the class what you have learned, you will have an opportunity to play fun interactive games to test your knowledge.
The teacher will divide you into groups of three. Each person will have a task:
Team Member 1: Take notes
Team Member 2: Gather resources provided to you by the teacher to create your poster board
Team Member 3: Account that all questions have been answered for your group's presentation.
